What MessyData does

MessyData helps users convert pasted text into structured tables. To do this, the text you paste is processed to generate a table preview and CSV-style output.

Data you paste

Do not paste passwords, private keys, financial records, medical data, confidential business information, or highly sensitive personal information.

Pasted text is sent for AI processing so MessyData can detect columns, rows, warnings, and possible table structure.

Storage of pasted input and generated tables

MessyData does not intentionally store pasted input or generated tables as a product feature. The app is designed to process your input for the current conversion and return the result.

Technical providers may process data temporarily where needed to operate the service, including hosting, AI processing, analytics, and form handling providers.

AI processing

MessyData uses an AI provider, currently OpenAI, to process pasted text and return structured output. Do not submit information you are not comfortable sending to an external AI processing provider.

Analytics

MessyData uses analytics to understand product usage, such as page views, button clicks, conversion outcomes, feedback clicks, and limit-request events.

Analytics are not intended to collect the raw text you paste, generated table contents, column names, or user-written feedback messages.

Feedback and higher-limit requests

Feedback and higher-limit request forms are handled through Formspree. If you submit a form, MessyData may receive the message you write, your email address if provided or required, the feedback type, and safe diagnostic context such as result quality, row count, column count, warning count, limit type, and timestamp.

Feedback forms do not automatically include your pasted input or generated table. Please do not include sensitive or confidential information in feedback messages.

Contact and feedback retention

Feedback and higher-limit requests may be kept in email and Formspree records for long enough to review, reply, improve the product, and manage abuse or spam.
